This letterpress bookmark has been completely type set by hand using metal type and ornaments. Falling through a tunnel along with an odd assortment of objects, the text reads, "When the day becomes the night and the sky becomes the sea, when the clock strikes heavy and there's no time for tea; and in our darkest hour, before my final rhyme, she will come back home to Wonderland and turn back the hands of time."
Printed using an 1893 antique printing press on Mohawk milkweed vellum cardstock with blue-green, brown and gold ink.
Measures 2 1/2" x 7".
Due to the nature of letterpress printing, each bookmark is unique. Subtle differences to the product pictured can be expected, but also add to the charm.
